Yesterday, Danna, the big German shepherd and I were left alone.

As soon as the family drove down out the driveway she started wandering around the house. She sniffed at the garbage. She rubbed her back on the clean towels. She licked the butter dish.

I tried to make conversation but she only said, “Rur mmph, rur rowl!” I think that meant, “I love leaving my blanket and wandering around the house when everyone is out.”
