Everyone should have a grandmother.
Grandmothers let you stay up late. Grandmothers let you have dessert even when you haven’t finished your vegetables.
Grandmothers let you jump on the bed. Grandmothers send you cookies when you are sad.
I don’t have a grandmother but that is what I have heard.

I know a song about that. Latham and Jaffe wrote it in 1947. “I’m my own grandpaw,” was a hit song.
You should try and write a song, Stan. You could call it, “I am my own grandmother.”

I write lots of great songs. No one hears them. Allan says they are “a little too outside.” I don’t always understand him. I am from the OUTSIDE!
